The compositing system has a lot of functionality however you don't have to use it all. The most common types of compositing are very simple to use. However if needed there is a lot of power available, including:

  • Separate scattering events, objects and light contributions
  • Tint scattering events and lights by any colour
  • Apply textures to tints to vary texturing
  • Modify tone-mapping at any time without re-rendering
  • Persist composite data to disk
  • Separate direct and indirect contributions
  • No edge artifacts typically scene with alpha compositing
